My Lack of Posts or Chapters…or Anything, For That Matter

I’m so sorry for being so quiet and un-updating! I have a fairly legitimate excuse, though. I’ve started school (at an advanced, college-level residential high school, aka hardcore boarding school) and the internet in the dorms is BROKEN. This sucks so much. And it might not be fixed for another week or so, and carrying my laptop all across campus is a pain in the ass, so I’m still going to be quiet (though I’ll do my best).

In other news: I have the next chapter of Learning a Lesson outlined, but I haven’t gotten around to writing it yet. BUT, I’m getting used to my crazy-busy schedule, so I’m getting more general writing done. I’ve also got a few potential Covenant one-shots rolling around my brain, so we’ll see where that goes.

Nothing more to say right now. Y’know how glamorous and awesome Spenser seems in the Covenant? Yeah, real boarding school, so not like that. I wish.

Well, I’m off to enjoy the Internet while I can!

Be Still My Beating Heart

Wow. I posted a new chapter on Learning a Lesson, and now I have 41 reviews. That’s like, a big number. Whoa.

In other news, I SAW THE DARK KNIGHT THIS WEEKEND! I liked it, but it wasn’t quite as good as it could have been. For such a long movie (2 1/2 hours) it didn’t develop the characters well enough (mostly Bruce–he was barely in it). But what they say is true: Heath Ledger kicked ASS in this movie. He was scary, and scary-funny too.

Harvey Dent/Two Face was pretty creepy too. Though I must saw WTF? about all the people bringing small children to see this movie. There were five-year-olds in there! Between the Joker and Two Face, there are going to be some serious nightmares. (There was the same problem with Sweeney Todd; idiots bringing their kids to see Johnny Depp!ohmigoshsrysly in an extremely violent movie. That’s just wrong.)

Alfred and Lucius Fox are my heroes. They are soooooo cooooool.

Well, I’m off to go watch Buffy. I love Buffy. (Season Three, yo.)

Late, But Still Here!

I blame my orthodontist for this. When I got home yesterday, I just crashed. So, here is number five (and the last of the already written drabbles).

Winter’s Chill, Drabble Five: Can’t Deny The Past

It shouldn’t have been so hard to find someone. They did it in movies all the time.

Reid must have changed a lot, Tyler thought, if an Internet search only found old swimming articles. The blond had loved the spotlight…but there was nothing. No mention of him for five years.

Tyler knew why Reid felt like he had to hide.

Finally, he gave in and called Clarissa. It was a wasted effort. She hadn’t heard from her son since he left Boston.

No, Reid won’t be coming to the wedding. The news made Sarah cry. Caleb didn’t say anything.
